Lowercase Letters

Blue Dog has learned all of his uppercase letters by taking a letter a week and doing an animal craft. We have now started lowercase letters. Not only are we working on identification, but also the letter sound and even a little bit on writing them. Earlier this week we tried a failed Pinterest idea of painting with bubbles for letter, "b." We tried with Kool-aid, Jell-o, and paint mixed with dish soap and water. We gave up and decided on painting with balloons instead.

Library Reading Hour

Blue Dog and I attend the local library reading hour on a weekly basis, Tuesdays at 10:30am. I've realized lately that he has not only grown physically since we first started going in February 2013, but he has also matured. He can sit down for longer periods of time, participates more, and gets more right answers.

Lowercase "a"

I just started working with Blue Dog on writing letters outside of writing his name. Here is his very first attempt all by himself on lowercase letter, "a." I'm kind of proud of him. I am excited to see how he progresses over the next year.
