As for now, Clara can say the following words:
Da Da
Ni Ni (Night Night)
Ma Ma
Ti Ti (Titus)
Ah Duh (All Done)
At the chiropractor yesterday, I was asked by my chiropractor if she were walking yet. No, but the girl can butt scoot and she is pulling up onto things into a standing position. She has some awesome dance moves shaking her hips. She claps any time you tell her or someone else good job. She also does baby sign language for all done. Her sign language for food and drink has become the sign for milk. If she wants more food she points at her tray. She puts both hands up in the air for "so big" and if she wants picked up. The thing that makes her laugh the most is when Titus does monkey noises. They get along for the most part. Titus does get a little rough sometime unintentionally, but he is learning.
As far as sleeping goes, Clara is sleeping around 11 hours. She tells me when she wants to go to bed by waving bye bye to whomever is around. She also gets real cuddly and hugs all over me saying, Awh! every time she lays against me. She is quick to sleep and not too much drama. Titus has always been drama taking around an hour to settle into bed, but is the harder sleeper.
We find out Thursday her weight and other things during her one year appt. I know she is over 22 lbs.
Clara started out as a very good eater, but now she has tapered down. I would still say her and Titus eat about the same amount. Her favorite foods have been blueberries, cheese and hot dogs. As of recently she is in love with watermelon. She is quite loud if you don't give her the food in her timing. Unfortunately, she gets pushed away from the table sometimes because our ears can not take the noise. The food that she hates the most is eggs. We are an egg family, so this causes a little bit of an issue. We now serve cereal with eggs, because if Clara gets it then Titus has to have it. Clara can't have just cereal, so we also have fruit.
For her first birthday, I wrote the following on Facebook:
Happy Birthday baby girl!!! Watching you go from newborn to turning one has been remarkable! You are a joy to your daddy and me. I love the way you and your brother's faces light up around each other, especially when you haven't seen each other in awhile. You have brought him entertainment and he gives you laughter. I am looking forward to the coming years as I watch you develop in so many ways. Love, mommy!
